Bertha K. Berg
          Dies Sunday, May 11

Bertha Katherine Berg passed away Sunday, May 11, 1947 at the age of 57 years, 11 months and 29 days.  She was born May 12, 1889 in Adams county, Illinois, daughter of Trintze Flesner and Fritz Osterman.

November 24, 1910 she was married to Fred Berg at Golden, Illinois by Rev. Lindemann.  To this union were born three children, Jurgen of Havana, Ill., Mrs. Harry Irvin, Carthage, and Charles of Adair, Ill., all of whom survive with the husband.

She leaves also one sister, Mrs. Fred Gerdes of Bowen and two brothers, John Osterman of LaPrairie and Will Osterman of Camp Point.  Two sisters preceded her in death, Mrs. Frank Holtman and Mrs. Otis Martin.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.

The funeral was held at the Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Paul T. Hersch officiating.  Carol Jean Piper and Ann Winters sang "Sometime We'll Understand," and "In The Garden."

Pallbearers were Amos Ferht, Fred Ufkes, Ubbe Burns, June Vance, Will Vance and Henry Gronewald.
