Francis Edward Belknap was born July 27, 1905; died May 17, 1911, at 7 o'clock p. m., at the tender age of five years nine months and twenty days.  He was the elder son of Arthur and Lucy Belknap, and at the time of his illness and death was visiting with his little friends, Mabel and Clay Miller, at the home of Scott Belknap.  He was a member of the Christian Sunday school at Carthage, Ill., and was a bright and beautiful child, loved by all who knew him.  Besides a loving mother and father and little brother, four year old, there are left to mourn for him many near relatives and loving friends.  Just another one of earth’s brightest buds gone to blossom in Heaven.

Rest, little darling;
      Rest in Peace,
From this world of sorrow,
      God has given thee a sweet release.
