Funeral Services Held
For Mrs. Ethyl Jones
Belknap Last Friday

Mrs. Ethyl Jones Belknap, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Jones, was born May 22, 1883 in Danville and passed away in Blessing Hospital Monday, November 21st at 4:45.

Mrs. Belknap attended school in Danville and was married to Mr. Belknap May 26, 1904 in DanvilleMr. and Mrs. Belknap came to Bowen as pastor of the Congregational church in 1928 and spent three and one-half years here at that time.  About a year ago, due to ill health she came and made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Akers.  Later Mr. Belknap joined her and made their home here.  In August, Mr. and Mrs. Belknap moved to Paloma as Pastor of the Methodist church there.

Mrs. Belknap was a member of the Congregation church at Mattoon and the Bowen O. E. S. chapter.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ethyl Louise Akers, of Bowen, and Mrs. Eleanor May Kohut, of McKeesport, Pennsylvania; a son, David L. Belknap, of Quincy; two brothers, Ernest Jones, of Mattoon and Randolph C. of Pittsburg, Kansas, and eight grandchildren, Mary Frances, William, Kay, Janet, Donald, Perry Dean and Frank Junior Akers, of Bowen, and Mary Claudette Belknap of Quincy.

Funeral services were held in Paloma Methodist church at 2 on Friday, November 25th, with burial in Bowen cemetery. Rev. Harry Taylor of Mattoon, was the minister, assisted by Rev. A. Sonius, of Bowen, and Dr. Victor Roberts, District Superintendent, of the Jacksonville District.
