Killed by Train.

William Harvey Austin was fatally injured by an extra train on the Galesburg branch C. B. & .  Friday night and died the next day at St. Francis hospital Macomb.

Mr. Austin had been at the Old Settlers meeting, Plymouth.  His four year old son was with him.  They started home in the evening evidently Austin went to sleep in the buggy and the horse wandered out of the way home.  Just as they reached the railway crossing the train struck them, killing the horse, wrecking the buggy, breaking the thigh bone of the child and crushing the man's head so that he died that morning.

Mr. Austin was the grandson of the late Charles Austin of this city.  His wife was formerly Miss May Belknap, a daughter of Willis Belknap.  She with six little children survive.  Mr. Austin was a tenant on the sheep ranch owned by the Hancock County National bank.

The funeral was held at the home Sunday and was attended by an immense crowd.
