DEATH OF MRS. GORDON ALLEY

Funeral services of Mrs. Gordon Alley, were held from the home in Bentley, Tuesday afternoon at one o'clock, Elder L. E. Frazee assisted by Arthur Jones, officiating.  Burial at Harmony cemetery.

Mrs. Henrietta L. Alley was born in Illinois, Jan. 19, 1846, and at the time of her death on Monday, April 22nd, was aged 72 years, 3 months and 4 days.  She was the daughter of Joshua and Eunice (Cox) Wilson, both her parents being natives of Virginia. Mrs. Alley has spent her entire life in this state, and in fact has resided in this county a greater portion of the same, they having lived on a farm near Bentley for several years, later removing to the village, where they could lead a retired life.  She has been a sufferer for many years from carcinoma of the stomach and has many serious illnesses as a result of this trouble.  She was a member of the Primitive Baptist church of Bentley and was enthusiastic in her church work, one of the most respected citizens of the community.

She leaves surviving, her husband, Gordon Alley, and two daughters, and one son, Mrs. L. E. Frazee of Bentley, Mrs. Fred Welch of Table Grove and Charles Alley of near Bentley.
