Ruth Browning
Becomes Bride of
Ernest Akers

The wedding of Mrs. Ruth L. Browning, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Carlin, of Bowen, and Ernest Akers, of Plymouth, was an event of Sunday afternoon at the Methodist parsonage in West Point, Illinois.

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. O. D. Slater, an uncle of the bride.

Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held.  The couple left for the Ozarks.  After their return they will make their home at the Akers farm.

Those present besides those mentioned were: Mrs. O. D. Slater, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Carlin, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Freeman and son, Bruce, Mrs. Berniece Botts, and Mr. William Ervin.
