NOTES:
1. Started with U. S. Census records. Then added facts from 2006 letter from Franklin Co. Genealogical & Historical Society. FCGHS
2. Children Henry, R. R. and Mary, living with G.H.A. & Maria seem too young to be GHA's children. So from another family, living with GHA.
3. Clarissa Andrews buried without Henry. So the question is raised: Was G. H. A. using Henry because his father ?George? was living with him? In Worthington Methodist Church Cemetery, Sharon Township. Age 36 years, 10 days.
3a.  When father ?George? died, did Henry then use George H. Andrews as his name. G. H. A. evidently decided not to be buried with Clarissa.
7. Testate will of D. Andrews, S.E. 12 Oct 1833, wife: Martha, Children: Mary, Lucinda, and Abner. Abner was a doctor.
8. Also in Worthington Methodist Church Cemetery, Sharon Township are: Noah Andrews, 5 June 1857 at age 75 yrs. 2m 16d. And his wife Ruth Andrews, 28 Oct. 1856 at age 66 yrs, 2m, 5d.
9. Kempton Cemetery (Clinton Township) are: Jessie Andrews, 14 Jan 1841 at age 63 yrs 8m 21d., Mary P. , 15 Jan. 1783 at age 71y 1m 21d, Amasa Wiswell 25 Aug. 1838 at 34 yrs, and Polly (Mary) 1831 at 38 years.
10. Maria Fisher, b.ca1786 was married in ~1806 to William Gromley. After a divorce, Maria married Martin B. Randover on 13 Dec 1807 in Franklin Co., Ohio. Then Maria married Isaac White on 26 March 1816 in Franklin Co. Evidently Maria married G. H. A, date unkown.
11. The website of FCGHS has the surnames of Pioneers: Andrews' are: Adam, George H., Hiram, Jessee, and Noah. No Henry is listed, lending credence to the idea that Henry, married to Clarissa, was George H. Andrews.
12. Ohio Marriage Records database shows Zelda Andrews married on 27 Nov 1855 to Richard Andrus (Hiram's son?), in Franklin, Ohio. Then in 1870 US Census she is married to a Timothy Phelps and living in Blendon Township, Franklin Co., Ohio.
13. A George T. Andrews married 21 Jan 1867 in Clinton, Ohio to Mary McKinsey. Per www.FamilySearch.org Ohio Marriages.
14. 1870 US Census, 23 July 1870: George Andrews, age 50, b. ~1820 in Ohio, with Mary Andrews, age 33 and William Andrews, age 1/12, living in Warren Co., Washington Township, Lebanon Post Office, Ohio, a farm laborer. Not found in 1880 US Census.
15. Probate Info: Wife, Maria A. to have farm in Sharon Twp., Sons: George T. A. and William C. A.. Daughters: Anna A. Gunn, Maila R. Douglass, Clarissa Ann Davis, Zilda Andrews. Late daughter Lydia Pinney. Brother-in-law Timothy B. Fisher of Marion.

17. Family History Library records: search Franklin, Ohio (vital records) and Worthington, Ohio (from 1816 church records).
18. Lydia Andrews, b. 11 Oct 1809, daughter of George H. Andrews and Clarissa Unknown. Source: www.holcombegenealogy.com/data/p1022.htm.  However, it is likely that Lydia's mother was Ann (aka Nancy) McKenzie.
19. "History of Greene and Sullivan Counties, State of Indiana from the earliest", 1884 by Goodspeed Brothers has extensive William C. Andrews bio, and has George H. Andrews, married to Nancy McKenzie, as a boat Captain on Lake Champlain in ca 1810-1819.
20. George H. Andrews in Essex Co., NY, ca 1805-1819, per World Connect Project database "maryannj". Mary Ann J. is deceased.
21. William C. Andrews, b. 4 April 1812 in Essex Co., New York. Died 3 May 1888 in Greene Co., Indiana, based on Abstracts of Wills, 1825-1904, Books 1-5. Married 19 Aug 1840 to Eunice G. Topping. She died 1852. They had 3 children: Newton Andrews b. 1842/3, and Katharine Andrews (Catharine), and Mary L. Andrews, b. 1850. After Eunice's death, William C. A. married Josephine Stalcup on 4 May 1855. They had 3 children. Grace Andrews, William C. Andrews, b. 1861/2 and Maria L. Andrews. Daughters married names: Maria L. Barrickman, Mary L. Brouslette, Grace Barker.
22.  Geo H. Andrws (Andrus) is in the 6 August 1810 US Census in Elizabethtown, Essex Co., NY. The census shows: 1 male and female ages 26-44. This would be George and Ann (aka Nancy), both about 26 years old. Also 2 males ages 16-25: perhaps George's brothers? Unknown for now (June 2010). Also 1 male age 0-9: William was born in 1812, thus we have an unknown son b. ca 1807 perhaps. The census shows 2 females ages 0-9: One would be Lydia, b. 11 Oct 1809. So we have an unknown daughter b. ca 1808 perhaps. These unknown son and daughter are not listed in the above table.  These earlier births would imply a marriage ca 1805, perhaps.
23.  Per World Connect Project, sjstalcup database:  William C. Andrews, b. 1812 had a son, William C. Andrews, b. 1861.  Wm C. Andrews, 1861, married Harriett Ferris, and they had a son William F. Andrews, b. 9 Oct 1895.  Wm. F. Andrews, 1895, married Erma Lee, ca. 1919.  Wm. F. and Erma Andrews, in 1920 US Census are living in Greene Co., Indiana.  In the 1930 US Census, Wm. (Wold in Ancestry.com) F. and Erma Andrews are living in Tulare Co., California.  They have a son William H. Andrews, age 9 and a son Richard Lee Andrews, age 4.  Both sons were born in Indiana.  There may be another son, Robert Lee Andrews, b. ca after 1 April 1930.
24.  George H. Andrews' birthday was 9 Jan 1783 per a Roots Web Andrews Message Board, on 9 Jun 2003, by RWPHobby@comcast.net.  No source was given.
25. 1 Feb 2011: G H Andrews is in the Google Book: "Bessboro: A History of Westport, Essex Co., N. Y. Page 306/307: Town meeting, 1st Tuesday in April, 1817: Voted ...9. George H. Andrews ... 28. Most likely, Benjamin Andrews is the father of George H. Andrews and Asa A. Andrews, as all are mentioned in the Bessboro:... history book. Benjamin Andrews is in the 1800 and 1810 US Census for Essex Co. George H. Andrews and Asa Andrews are in the 1810 US Census for Essex Co. Benjamin has a son that fits the age of George, having been born in 1783, which has been established based on 1850, 1860 census records and death records in Worthington, Ohio. Thus the family group sheet of Benjamin has been estimated, based on available information. The "andrews62" database on World Connect Project has been updated with this information.
