Will of Simeon Tickle

LAST WILL OF SIMEON TICKLE,
dated March 19, 1863
Alamance Co Wills: Simeon Tickle-EXR-1,
page 247.
Alamance County, North Carolina.

The will reads as follows:

State of North Carolina, Alamance County.

In the name of God, Amen. I make this my last will and testament
ITEM 1st., I consign my body to the earth to be buried in a
decent manner.
ITEM 2, I want my wife to have all my lands until my youngest
child becomes of age for the purpose of raising the children.
ITEM 3, I give and bequeath all of my household and relative
furniture to my wife.
ITEM 4, I want my wife to have all of my farming tools of every
description.
ITEM 5, I want my wife to have all of my stock of every
description until my youngest child comes of age.
ITEM 6, I want when my youngest child becomes of age all my
lands and other property sold and equally divided between my
wife and all my children.
ITEM 7, I want all of my debts and funeral expenses paid.
ITEM 8, I appoint Daniel Tickle my executor of this my last
will and testament this made in the presence of us this 19th
day of March 1863.

The foregoing will was duly proven in open court on oath by
Peter J. Summers and Peter Summers. The subscribing witness
