Will of Permelia Cobb Tickle

LAST WILL OF PERMELIA COBB TICKLE,
dated 6th day of September 1904
Alamance Co Wills: Permelia Tickle-EXR-5, page 28.
Alamance County, North Carolina.

The will reads as follows:

North Carolina, Alamance County.

I Permelia Tickle of the aforesaid County and State, being of
sound mind, but considering the uncertainty of my earthly
existence do make and declare this my last will and testament.

FIRST my executor here in after named shall give my body a
decent burial suitable to the wishes of my friends and
relations out of the first moneys that may come into his hands
belonging to the estate.

SECOND I give and devise to my beloved son, Giles C. Tickle,
the tract of land which I now reside (containing 50 acres more
or less adjoining the lands of Riley Barber and others) during
his natural ffe and at his death to revert to the heirs of his
body.

THIRD I give devise and bequeath to my son Giles C. Tickle all
my personal estate at my death.

FOURTH but my will and desire is that in consideration of the
above bequests that my son Giles C. Tickle shall provide for
myself and my daughter Mary E. Tickle a reasonable support so
long as we both shall live.

FIFTH my estate being small and considering the expense that I
and my daughter may be to my son Giles C. Tickle, I hereby
regret that I have no devise to make to my daughter Susan
McKeel and my grandson Harper F. Tickle.

SIXTH I hereby constitute and appoint my trusty son Giles C.
Tickle my lawful executor to all intents and purposes to
execute this my last will and testament according to the true
intent and meaning of the same and every part and clause
thereof

In witness whereof I the said Permelia Tickle do hereunto so
my hand and sea], this the 6th day of September 1904.

Signed, sealed published and declared by the said Permelia
Tickle to be her last will and testament in the presence of us
who at her request and in the presence do subscribe our names
as witness thereto.
