Translation: "Petrus Weitzel is born of Christian Parents the 12th of June, in the Year of Christ 1791. The Father and the Mother are Johan Ludwig Weitzel and Maria his Spouse. The Godparents are Johan Buhn and his Wife Anna."

Peter Weitzel/Whitesell m. Elizabeth (Unknown), b. ca. 1790. Peter d. October 31, 1858, and is buried at the Palestine Cemetery, Fulton County, Kentucky, with wife Elizabeth, who died November 12, 1846. Peter's parents, Johann Ludwig and Maria (Christmann) Weitzel, are believed to be buried at Friedens in unmarked graves.
