Bladen County

 

Received of John Owen Esq. Two hundred dollars in full for a negro man slave age about forty years named Sam. which said slave Sam for in consideration of the sum as before witnessed. I the said James P. McRee do by _____ hereof sale convey & deliver unto John Owen and father I do hereby for myself my heirs & assigns warrant & forever defend the said slave Sam to the said John Owen his heirs ______ ______ and assigns.

In witness whereof have hereunto let my heirs ________ this twenty fifth of October 1821
