William Brewer (LA-TX) Sub-Group

The descendants results demonstrate a descent from Jan Brouwer and most closely match those of the descendants of the John Brewer Sub-Group. The earliest known ancestor, William Brewer, b. 1826 in Louisiana, was apparently in eastern Texas prior to Texas' independence from Mexico. It should be noted that although both participants claim a descent that is only four generations removed from a common ancestor, the DNA results differ on 3 of 37 markers, which translates into only a 13.04% chance that the two participants would actually have a common ancestor within four generations.
