Another list of bonds, due 1 May 1785, shows Beekman resident John Ferguson with a bond dated 23 July 1772. The comment "very poor, back rent" was included. John Ferguson signed the Articles of Association in Beekman's Precinct in July 1775. He and his family likely moved to present day Rensselaer County by 1779.2
