  • Isaac had land in Gravesend in 1664, probably that purchased with William Hansen from John Griggs, Sr. He witnessed a deed at Gravesend on 15 Nov 1688, and he and Willem Hansen witnessed receipt of several payments by Peter Simson on 1 Jan 1693/94. He was elected Townsman or Overseer of Gravesend in 1692. In Feb 1693/94 Isaac began a series of land transactions, selling properties at Gravesend, for a move to Delaware. On a deed dated 5 Oct 1697 he is called "Isaac Gooding of Delaware bay near about Reeden Island."6

On 13 March 1738/39 he was elected an overseer of North Road Stony Brook (Town Records of Hopewell, NJ, pub. by the NJ Soc. of Colonial Dames, p.18).
