Enlisted 9 Dec 1872 in Chicago, Ill. and was assigned to Troop D, 6th U.S. Cavalry, discharged 9 Dec 1877 at Camp Apache, Arizona Territory. On 8 June 1878 he re-enlisted with the same outfit as a private, and was killed in battle three years later.¹
Edward Livingston was killed on 30 April 1881 Cibecue, Arizona; in battle with the Apaches.¹
