This Indenture made this sixth day of September A.D. one thousand eight hundred and forty eight between George Andres of the first part of St. Clair County and state of Illinois and Daniel Morlock of the county and state of one said of the second part ____
That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, and sold,______ transferred, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain and sell, ______ transfer, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part one certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of St. Clair and state of Illinois, ______ ______ design ____ as Five West half of south east quarter of Section Seventeen in Township One South of Range Six west containing 80 acres to have and to hold the aforesaid lot, tract, or parcel of land together with all the privileges and appurtenances, these unto belonging to the said party of the second part____ to _____ have and assign forever And the said party of the first part doth covenant to and with the said party of the second part that the said is free of all incumbersomes that the said party of the first part is seized in fee of the said land an ____ in full and complete right to sell the same and that he will forever warrant and defend the title and possession of the said land from the ______ or claims from all and every person or persons lawfully claims the same Give testimony whereof the said party of the first part has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written

Best remembered that on this sixth day of September A.D. one thousand eight hundred forty eight before me Gefferson Rainey as acting Justice of the Peace for and within the said county of St. Clair personally saw George Andres ___ positively proven to me to be the person whose name inscribed to the foregoing instrument of writing and who is personally known to me to be the same person whose name appears to the foregoing instrument of witing as a ___ as having executed the same and acknowledged the ___ to be his face ___ ____ and deed for the purposes then employed. Testimony whereof I have ___ set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date above written.
