This Indenture made and entered into the second day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty six between G. Mather, P.H. Eisenhmayer, Andrew Eisenhmayer, John Boegal, P. H. Postel, M. Lischer, C. Enig Trustees of the German Methodist En. Church of the town of Mascoutah in the County of St. Clair and the State of Illinois, of the first part, and Daniel Morlock of the county of St. Clair and the State of Illinois of the second part, witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars the receipt of which is herby acknowledged have granted, bargained, and sold and by these present do grant, bargain and sell, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, heirs and signs forever all the certain lot, laying and being in the County of St. Clair and the State of Illinois and described as follows one lot commencing at the North West corner of Frick and Fike Addition to the town of Mascoutah moving east fifty (50) feet then North one hundred (100) feet thence west fifty (50) feet thence south to the corner of ____ making about twelve hundreds of an acre which said land is part of the South West quarter of the North East quarter of section no. Thirty two (32) Town one (1) north of Range 6 West of the sixth principal meridian To have and to hold the above described ____ premises together with all the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said party of the second part and to heirs and assigns forever The said party of the first part herby consenting that the said land is free from all incumbrances and that will warrant and defend the title and ____ of the said land unto the said party of the second part heirs and assigns against any claim or claims of all persons whomsoever In testimony whereof the said party of the first part here unto set their names and seals the day and year first above written
