Levi and Sarah Cooper had four sons and two daughters in Montgomery. His parents and grandparents had settled in Chambers County about 1830 from South Carolina. Levi's mother was Sarah F Lee, daughter of Malinda Phillips and Elijah Lee who settled in Creek Territory.
Sarah Carter's parents were Thomas Randolph Carter and Mary Josephine Hereferd. Mary was from Virginia

Levi Cooper came to Montgomery and worked for Thomas Carter on his farm. He was much older than Sally and would push her on the swing.
Levi is buried at Cecil Alabama by his sons and Sarah is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery by her daughter Susie in a large family plot with a stone named Brooks-Cooper.
When Thomas Carter died, he was buried by his first wife on their old farm cemetery
