Samuel Prescott b. 1788 Willoughby Prescott was 34 in 1776 living in Concord, MA. The townspeople
were making preparations for defense against the British. From an account of the
provincial stores sent to Colonel Barrett of Concord there is a listing of where
these provisions were stored. "There were received from Mr. David Cheever of
Charlestown, one of the committee of supplies, 20 loads of stores, containing
about 20,000 pounds of musket-balls and cartridges, etc. - These were stored at
Captain Elnathan Jones's, Joshua Bond's, Willoughby Prescott's, Jonas Heywood's,
Colonel Barrett's, and the town-house." However, both the obituary and death certificate for Lucy Richards Prescott Moore state that Samuel was born in England. Samuel's marriage announcement says he is from Montreal. This flies in the face of Willoughby Prescott being shown as living in Concord, MA in both the 1790 census and the 1800 census.
