CHILDREN In 1915 a descendant, Florence Hopewell, interviewed some of her elderly relatives and wrote that "It is through John Hopewell Sr'.s wife, Sarah Edwards, that the Hopewells are thought to be heirs of that billion or so dollars estate in NY city!"
