John Breed b. 1636 Mentioned as one of the persons who arrived in Lynn in 1630, having come from England in one of the vessels of Winthrop's fleet. In 1666 Allen Breed deeded 230 acres to his son-in-law William Merriam. It is the 230 acres which had been deeded to Thomas Corbett, the teacher, by the town, and then purchased by Allen Breed for 80 pounds in 1852
