Barbara's sister Nancy
Shepherd md. Aaron N. Brock's brother Ephraim (sons of Amon),
had 11 children.
Their brother Shadrack
J. "Shade" Shepherd md. Malinda Roark (dau. of John
Roark & Elizabeth Brock - 1st cousin of Aaron N.) as her
1st husband, had 6 children, then she had 3 by her 2nd husband
John North.
On 3 Jan 1898 in Hayden,
Leslie Co., KY, Barbara & Aaron's son James Brock
was interviewed by Rev. James Dickey and told the following
story of his mother BARBARA SHEPHERD's family's involvement
in the last Indian battle in Leslie Co.
