Dellwood-- Mrs. John H. (Nancy Ann Thomas) Scott, 90, died Tuesday, Jan 7, at the Emanuel County Hospital.
The funeral was held Wednesday Jan 8, at the chapel of Peebles-Curry Mortuary, Swainsboro. The Rev. William Thompson and the Rev. Cecil Ruffin officiated and burial was in Bithyina Church Cemetery near Dellwood.
A lifelong resident of Emanuel County, she was a member of Dellwood Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Johnny Sumner, Mrs. Gordon Thigpen and Miss Bonnie Quinney, all of Dellwood; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Willis Overstreet of Savannah; a son, Harley Quinney of Dellwood; and two stepsons, Elmo Scott of Port Wentworth and Jake Scott of Dellwood.
Peebles-Curry Mortuary of Swainsboro had charge of the arrangements.

Swainsboro, Ga., Nov. 25. Mr. Bennett Quinney, a prosperous young farmer of this county, died at his home near Dellwood this morning. Mr. Quinney, the son of Martin V. Quinney, was only 32 years of age. His death was caused from tuberculosis, from which he had suffered for a number of years. He is survived by a wife who was Miss Scott, daughter of Henry Scott of Smithton, this county, and several small children. His remains will be interred in a county churchyard near Dellwood.
