DYER A letter I received from Sapin in 1998 from soemone who turned out to be my second cousin, Kim coleman-cooper, the grand-daughter of my Grandmother's sister, Alice DYER is the event which prompted me to start researching my Family History. From this passion has grown this obsession with the origins of my family. Other names closely associated with the DYER Branch of my Family Tree include: BRETTELL; BUNCE; COLEMAN-COOPER; DOOR(E); & HAWES
I have been able to trace the DYER line back just so far - Oral Family History told that my grandmother, Alice's, father was a 'Big' 'Orangeman' from Northern Ireland and that Alice was a 'True Cockney'. I have actually discovered that 'Jack' John Sidney DYER was the 'Cockney' as he was actually born in Bromley in London. Alice's birth certificate has not been found, in spite of hours of searching on my part and that of my Research partner in London, Peter Norman of Four Corners Search. However, Peter found her christening, along with that of her sister, Susan, at St Thomas' Kensal Town. Wedding certificate of Alice DYER's parents - John DYER & Eliza HAWES
