In accordance with 2nd. Can Divn. M.G. Battn. O.O. No. 70 dated 18/12/17
the 94th M.G. Coy. will relieve the 6th Can M.G. Coy. on the line night
19/20th December 1917 as follows.
B Section 94th M.G. Coy. will relieve No. 2 Section 6th C.M.G. Coy.
D Section 94th M.G. Coy. will relieve No. 3 Section 6th C.M.G. Coy.

O.C's. No. 2 & 3 Sections will furnish 4 guides each at junction Hudson
Trench & Vancouver Rd. T.28.a.45.16 at 4.30 p.m. to guide relieving
crews direct to guns.

O.C. Sections will obtain receipt for Trench Stores, Maps etc. in duplicate,
One will be handed over to relieving Coy, the other to O.C. 6th Coy.
-
10 Belted Boxes S.A.A. per gun will be handed over to relieving sections.
-
Guns, Spare Parts & Tripods will not be handed over.
-
O.C. Sections will hand in a statement to Coy. H.Q. that 1st Army Trench
Standing Orders have been complied with or otherwise.

O.C. Sections will hand over list of Harassing Fire Targets engaged during
tour. Also orders regarding S.O.S. etc.
-
Lieut. Tucker will provide Section & H.Q.rs Limbers to be at respective
ration dumps at 7 p.m.

Completion of relief to be reported to Coy. H.Q. Bushy by runner.

On completion of relief Sections will move to Transport Lines at Aux Rietz
Corner.

In accordance with 2nd Canadian Division M.G. Battalion O.O. # 70, the
following reliefs will take place during night 19/20 December 1917.
"D" Section 16th C.M.G. Coy. 5 Guns will relieve the 6th C.M.G. Coy.
at the following positions.
ANTELOPE T.16.a.85.10.
ABERDEEN T.22.b.45.90.
ABERDEEN T.22.b.50.93.
BEDFORD T.21.b.40.05.
BIRMINGHAM T.22.c.40.05.
10th C.M.G. Coy. will relieve BIRKENHEAD Gun at T.21.a.40.50.
All other guns of #1 and #4 Sections to be withdrawn on completion
of these reliefs.

(a) O.C. #1 Section will furnish 4 guides at Coy. H.Q. by 5 p.m. to guide
relieving crews to Gun positions and Sec H.Qs.
(b) O.C. #4 Section will have a guide at Junction of TOAST & GRAND
TRUNK Trenches at 4 p.m. to guide relieving crews to BEDFORD positions.
Also guide to crew relieving BIRMINGHAM on arrival of limbers.
(c) O.C. #4 will have guide at BADGER Dugout 5th C.M.G. Coy. H.Q. to
guide relieving crew of 10th C.M.G. Coy. to BIRKENHEAD position.

O.C. Sections will obtain a receipt for all Trench Stores, Maps, etc. handed
over in duplicate. One copy will be handed over to relieving Company, the
other to O.C. 6th C.M.G. Coy.

10 Belted Boxes S.A.A. per gun will be handed over to relieving sections.

Relief will take place as follows.
No. 1 Sect 6th CMGC will relieve B Sect 16th CMGC

Guides have been arranged as follows.
For Nos. 1 & 4 Sects at Mill T.25.d.30.80 at 5.30 p.m.
For No. 2 Sect & Hdqrs at Petit Vimy Corner S.24.c.40.40 at 5 p.m.
For No. 3 section at Canada Dump at 5 p.m.

Sections will move independently from rear lines in time to meet guides
at appointed times.
-
There will be no exchange of tripods or belts. 10 filled belts per gun
will be taken in.
-
Receipts will be give for all Trench stores taken over and a copy sent
to Coy Hdqrs with word of relief complete.
-
The usual daily reports will be rendered to reach Coy Hdqrs by 9 a.m. daily.
-
Positions will only be manned if the order to "STAND TO" is received. Gas
sentries will be mounted day and night on all dugouts or groups of dugouts.
-
Each section will have an N.C.O. make the rounds daily of all its gun positions
to inspect & report any damages to same or to Trench Atores. A report
that this has been complied with will be included in Daily Report.
-
A reserve dump is located at T.19.d.00.55 in house marked B90 and known
as Vimy Dump. This dump contains Reserve S.A.A., water rations, T. Mounts,
sandbags, gun oil etc. No. 3 Section will detail 1 N.C.O. and Nos 1,2 &
4 Sections 1 O.R. each to act as a permanent guard on this dump. This party
will accompany Hdqrs in and will be supplied with a guide at Coy Hdqrs
to guide them to Dump.

The Company will entrain at Aux Rietz at 4 p.m. Jan 18 and will detrain
at nearest points to rendezvous with guides.
-
(a) No. 3 Section will take guns, equipment, rations, etc. with them by
train to Canada dump.
(b) Remaining sections and Hdqrs will send guns, equipment, rations,
etc. by limber to meet them at rendezvous with guides at times appointed.
-
Rations will be dumped each night after Jan 18th at following points :-
Hdqrs & No. 2 Sect Corner of road S.24.c.50.83. Nos. 1 & 4 Sect
Mill T.25.d.30.85. No. 3 Sect. Canada Dump. Time any time after 5.30 p.m.
-
One blanket per man will be taken in. Remainder of blankets and all surplus
kit properly marked will be turned in to Q.M. Stores by 12 noon Jan 18th.

All limbers will be packed by 3.30 p.m.
-
S.A.A. Dumps. Dumps have been established at the following points.
Dandy Dump. T.14.a.05.55 (in an old gun pit on left of Tr Twy at Junction
with Arion Rd) 250 000 Rds S.A.A.
Dora Dump. T.20.b.00.25 (near Canada Dump) 500 000 rds S.A.A.
Dickie Dump. T.21.d.00.63 (Junc. Toast C.T. and New Br. Rd.) 250 000

According to 2nd Cdn. Divl. M.G. Bn. O.O. No. 72 the 6th Cdn. M.G. Coy
will relieve the 5th Cdn. M.G. Coy in the forward area of the MERICOURT
SECTOR night Jan 30/31st.
-
On completion of relief the 5th Cdn. M.G. Coy will take up the positions
vacated by the 6th Cdn. M.G. Coy.
-
(a) Relief will take place as per attached table.
(b) No. 2 Sect. will attach 1 gun to No. 3 Sect.
No. 4 Sect. will attach 1 gun to No. 1 Sect.
These guns & crews will report to respective Hdqrs by 3.30 p.m.
on 30th inst.
-
Completion of relief will be notified to Coy Hdqrs (Ascot Junction TEDDIE
& PEGGY) by runner & copy of trench stores taken over will also
be forwarded.
-
Night firing targets will be taken over and the Harassing Fire will be
carried out the night of 30/31st Jan by Antelope & Abdulla gunbs as
per targets and I.F. orders to be handed over by the sections relieved.
-
(a) No. 3 Section will relieve 1 man at each emplacement to guard stores
and turn over same to 5th C.M.G. Crew. One man from each crew will also
guide back the crew relieved to position vacated.
(b) Nos. 1, 2 & 4 Sections will leave an N.C.O. at respective Hdqrs
to turn over stores etc. to section taking over.
(c) Receipted lists of above stores will be forwarded to Coy Hdqrs
as soon as possible after relief.
-
10 full belts & boxes per gun will be left for 5th C.M.G.C. corresponding
number being taken over from crews relieved.
-
First Army Trench Standing Orders will be complied with.
-
One limber will call at Coy. Hdqrs PETIT VIMY at 6 p.m. Jan 30th with Hdqrs
Rations and when Hdqrs are ready will move Hdqrs equipment to Junstion
Mericourt Rd & TEDDIE GERRARD T.R.
-
Commencing night Jan 30th Rations will be delivered as follows (bt train).
Nos. 1 & 4 Sections Canada Dump. Nos. 2 & 3 Sect. Victoria Dump.
Sections will arrange to have ration parties meet same.

After night Jan 30th Hdqrs Rations will come by train to Canada Dump.

& targets will be handed over to the relieving section of the 5th C.M.G.C.

Nos. 1, 3 & 4 Sections will detail 1 N.C.O. each to report to Hqrs
of Section of 5th C.M.G. Coy. that they are relieving with at 10 a.m. Feb
11th to check over all S.A.A. stores etc. at reserve positions to be manned
by them on an alarm & to see to accommodation for g.. views. These
N.C.O's. will remain at respective Sect. Hqrs taking iver Trench Stores
& dugouts etc. until their respective sections have all reported.

Guides. (a) On completion of relief gun crews of Nos. 1, 3 & 4 Sections
will report to N.C.O's. at their respective section Hqrs in VIMY.
(b) Section Cmdrs of No. 2 Sect 6th C.M.G.Co. and "D" Section 5th C.M.G.Co.
will make their own arrangements for guides.

The 5th C.M.G. Coy. will have 1 man at each occupied emplacement to hand
over Trench Stores of the emplacement.
-
10 belts & boxes fully loaded will be taken over by each gun crew from
5th C.M.G.C. & a receipt will be given for same.
-
A copy of receipt given for all Trench Stores taken over, will be sent
to Reserve Coy. Hdqrs when reporting guns in position.
-
Reserve Coy. Hqrs will be at S.23.b.60.50 in Sunken road.
-
Limbers:- 1 limber will be at junc MERICOURT RD & Teddie Trench as
soon after 6.30 p.m. as possible to move Hdqrs substaff to Reserve Coy.

(a) Rations for # 1, 3 & 4 Sections & Hqrs will be delivered

(b) Each section of 6th C.M.G. Coy. will detail 1 guide to report to
Coy. Hdqrs by 6 p.m. 17th inst to guide personnel of relieving sections
to Section Hdqrs, where 1 guide per crew (where necessary) will be waiting.

Receipts in duplicate will be prepared for all trench stores to be turned
over, 1 signed copy of receipt to be forwarded to Coy. Hqrs with word of
relief complete.
-
10 fully loaded belts and belt boxes per gun will be turned over to relieving
sections, receipt for same to be forwarded to Coy Hqrs.
-
All dugouts, latrines etc. to be turned over in a clean and sanitary condition.
-
Completion of relief to be reported direct to Coy. Hdqrs. by runner.
-
On relief the Coy will rendezvous at Bobby Dump S.24.a.10.90. Arrangements
have been made for a train at 8.30 p.m. to take personnel and gun equipment
from there to Carency where billets vacated by 11th Cdn. M.G. Coy will
be occupied.

guide #4 Section to Sec Hqrs. Guides for gun crews to meet Sections at
respective Section Hqrs at 6.00 p.m.

Ten fully loaded belts & belt boxes will be taken over by each gun
crew at emplacements.

Receipts will be given for all trench stores, S.A.A. etc. taken over and
a copy forwarded to Coy Hqrs with word of relief complete.

All order relating to Indirect fire, S.O.S. lines etc. will be carefully
taken over and checked at once.

Word of relief complete will be sent as early as possible by runner direct
to Coy Hqrs.

In accordance with 2nd. Cdn. Divl. M.G. Bn. O.O. No. 75, para 3, the 14th
Cdn. M.G. Co. will relieve the 6th Cdn. M.G. Co. in the front line system
of the LENS Section on the night of the 25th/26th inst.

Sections of the 14th C.M.G. Co. will relieve corresponding sections of
the 6th. C.M.G. Co.

GUIDES. Each section of the 6th. C.M.G. Co. will detail guides as
follows :-
(a) #1 Section
1 Guide per gun crew at Coy. Hqrs. at 7 p.m.
(b) #2 Section
1 Guide for #5 gun crew of 14th C.M.G. Co. at Coy. Hqrs. at 7 p.m.
1 Guide per gun crew for remaining gun crews to report to #2 Sect.
Hqrs of 14th C.M.G. Co. at M.30.a.20.80 at 7 p.m.
(c) #3 Section
1 guide to report to Coy Hqrs. 14th C.M.G. Co. at M.22.d.90.65 at 7
p.m. to guide gun limber of relieving section to right ration dump (M.30.a.80.10
approx)
1 guide per gun crew at right ration dump at 7.30 p.m.
(d) #4 Section
1 Guide per gun crew at Coy. Hqrs. at 6.30 p.m.

All Maps, aeroplane photos, S.O.S. lines, Harassing Fire positions and
targets, work in progress etc. to be handed over to incoming relief.

Receipts for all trench stores etc. to be taken & given & copies
sent to this office when reporting relief complete.

Ten fully loaded belts & belt boxes to be turned over by each gun crew
to incoming relief & receipts taken for same.

Word of relief complete to be forwarded by runner as early as possible.

All dugouts, emplacements, latrines etc. to be left clean and sanitary.

On completion of relief the 6th C.M.G. Co. will proceed independantly by
sections to CARENCY & will take over the billets vacated by the 14th
C.M.G. Co.

Lt. STONEHEWER will attend to the taking over of billets & will have
guides at 6th C.M.G. Co. Transport Lines to show sections to their huts.

The following limbers will be required on night 25th/26th inst.

1 Gun Limber for #1 Sect. at Coy. Hqrs. at 8.30 p.m.
