12th April 1917
The Brigadier General Commanding wishes to place on record his great appreciation of the eminently successful manner in which all Units in the Brigade carried out their work in the offensive operations - engaged in on 9th and 10th April.

The Brigade succeeded in gaining all its objectives completely and in holding them, as well as capturing 14 Guns - 1 large Minnenwerfer and 4 Machine Guns. These were taken as follows :- 2 (21 c.m.) Hows., 2 (5.9) Hows., 3 (4.1) Guns and one large Gun (of uncertain calibre) by the 27th (Cityof Winnipeg) Battalion; - 4 (5.9) Hows. And 2 (7.7) Guns by the 29th (Vancouver) Battalion; - 1 (10") Minnenwerfer on wheels by 31st (Alberta) Battalion. 1 Maxim Machine Gun by the 29th (Vancouver) Battalion, 1 Machine Gun by 6th Cdn. T.M. Battery 2 Machine Guns by 6th Cdn. M.G. Company.

The number of prisoners amounts to several hundreds, including 15 Officers - (1 Colonel of Artillery).

The Brigadier General Commanding congratulates all ranks of the Brigade on its most creditable performance, and trusts all Units will be quickly re-organized and ready prepared for a further advance.

He further wishes to record his appreciation of the manner in which all the Brigade Staff performed their duties and considers that the Transport Details of all Units of the Brigade deserve great credit for their untiring work previous to the operations - which assisted so greatly in getting the preliminary arrangements perfected.

The keen and cheerful spirit of all ranks under most trying and difficult circumstances has been most noticeable and outstanding throughout.
