2 Weather fine but rain at evening. Company Headquarters and men in reserve moved from billets in AIX-NOULETTE to NOULETTE WOODS. Orders attached.
Bois Noulette 3 Weather dull and wet. Men in reserve engaged in fixing huts in NOULETTE WOODS
4 Weather dull. Crews in reserve engaged in cleaning their guns, spare parts and equipment. 1 O.R. Discharged from C.C.S.
5 Weather fine but rain at night. Crews in reserve proceeded at 11.00 P.M. to take up positions in SOUCHEZ 1 under orders received from 6th CANADIAN INFANTRY BDE. HDQTRS. 2 O.R. Reinforcements.
6 Weather dull and wet. Reserve crews returned to billets at BOIS NOULETTE at 2.00 P.M.
7 Weather dull and rain at evening. Operation orders No. 37 issued for the relief of No. 4 Section by No. 1. Order No 37 Copy attached. Capt. Eastham O.C. returned from leave and re-assumed command. Lt. Hardiman returned from leave. 2 O.R. Ad to F.A.
8 Weather fine, rain at evening. No. 1 Section relieved No. 4 Section in the following positions STEEP ALLEY - SPUR GUN - LA PRADE - DUG OUT. 1 O.R. Evacuated to C.C.S.
9 Weather dull and slight rain at evening. Nothing to report.
10 Weather fine. Capt. Eastham O.C. proceeded for Special Course at PERNE. Lt. Robison assumed command.
11 Weather dull. Lt. Robison proceeded on leave. Lt. G.S. Douglas assumed command.
12 Weather fair, rain at evening. Operation Order No. 38 issued for the relief of this Company by the 1st Cdn. M.G. Coy. Order No 38 Copy attached. 1 O.R. Ad to F.A.

15 Weather fine but cold and dull. Lt. Bain returned from Machine Gun course at CAMIERS. Capt. Eastham returned from special course in PERNES and re-assumed command. 1 O.R. proceeded on signalling course at Corps Hdqrs. Issued a further amendment to Operation Order No. 38. Further amendment to Order 38
16 Weather dull, very cold. 1 O.R. returned from F.A. Lt. DICKIE proceeded on special map-reading course at PERNES. The company cooperated in a minor operation with the 4th and 5th Canadian Infantry Brigades using indirect fire to the extent of 25 000 rounds on roads, billets, tramways and footpaths behind the German lines.
17 Heavy snow during night. Dull during day. Lt. BASEVI, Lt. DOUGLAS and 6 O.R. proceeded to join the 14th Canadian Machine Gun Company (The new company in the 2nd Canadian Division). The 6th Canadian Machine Gun Company was relieved by the 1st Canadian Machine Gun Company in the line and reserve positions in the SOUCHEZ sector. Relief reported complete at Company Hdqrs at BOIS NOULETTE at 9 p.m. Company billeted for the night at FOSSE 10 SAINS.
Dieval 18 Weather stormy with snow showers. Company marched from billets to DIEVAL via HERSIN BARLIN HOUDAIN and DIVION leaving billets at 9 a.m. arriving DIEVAL at 3.15 p.m. Lt. TUCKER returned from leave.
19 Weather fine but cold. Company resting in billets. Muster parade held all ranks accounted for.
20 Weather cold and dull. Company carried out training as per syllabus attached. Training Syllabus
21 Weather remained dull and very cold. Company carried on with training as per syllabus.
22 Weather dull, slightly warmer. Company carrying on with training syllabus.
23 Weather dull and cold. Slight snow showers toward evening. Company continued on training syllabus. Lt. ROBISON returned from Leave.
24 Weather fine and cold. Company carrying on with training syllabus. Lieut. Mahoney proceeded on leave. 6 O.R. arrived for duty from Canadian Machine Gun Base.
25 Weather fine and cold. Company carrying on training as per syllabus. Lt. Hardiman proceeded on Special Map Reading Course PERNES.
26 Weather fine and cold. Company carrying on with training syllabus.
27 Weather fine and very cold. Company carrying on with training syllabus.
28 Weather fine and cold. Company carrying on with training syllabus. 6 Officers and 6 N.C.O's attended lecture on German Army by Lt. Col. Twiss in Y.M.C.A. hut OURTON.
29 Weather fine and very cold. Company carrying on with training syllabus.
Burbure 30 Company paraded at 9.05 a.m. Marched off at 9.12 a.m. proceeding independently via OURTON to DIVION and joined the Brigade at 10.44 a.m., then marched with Brigade via CAMBLAIN-CHATELAIN and CAUCHY-A-LA-TOUR to RAIMBERT, then proceeded with 28th and 31st Bns to BURBURE arriving at 2.19 p.m.
31 Company carried out training as follows:- Gun Drill, Belt Filling, Immediate Action and Recreational Training. Lt. HARDIMAN returned from Map-Reading Course PERNES.
