Weather fine. Capt. T.A.H. Taylor visited O.C. 5th Cdn. Machine Gun
Coy. to arrange relief. Company marched off complete with transport and
sixteen guns at 6.30 P.M. No. 1 Section being attached to 27th and 28th
Cdn. Inf. Battalion in the line. No. 2 and No. 3 Sections were in indirect
fire positions near SUGAR TRENCH. No. 4 Section in reserve near Brigade
Headquarters. Relief completed by 11 P.M. |

Weather fine. Indirect fire kept up during day on rear of German Lines
and most likely avenues of approach. Approximately 15.000 rounds fired. |

Gun Coy. for a relief at 3.30 P.M. However owing to late arrival of relieving

11.30 A.M. marching to ALBERT where we met Brigade and proceeded to WARLOY

new clothing. |

moved from our camp to billets in the village. Remainder of day spent cleaning

to move back to LA VICOGNE thereby being pulled out of reserve. Company
parade at 2 P.M. Marched off at 2.05 P.M. reached LA VICOGNE at 6 P.M. |

for. Capt. T.A.H. Taylor visited Brigade Headquarters at BONNEVILLE. |

Weather fine. Company marched from Barlin to Transport Lines at FOSSE
10 (R8 C3-5). From there Company complete with sixteen guns and transport
for same proceeded to Company Headquarters at AIX NOULETTE (R22.A3½-3½)
and relieved 63rd British Machine Gun Company in the line. Relief completed
by 4.30 P.M. |

Weather fine. Capt. A. Eastham visited all gun positions in Left Sector
and Capt. T.A.H. Taylor guns in Right Sector. |

and Capt. A. Eastham in Right Sector. |

positions on Left Sector with a view to having four Vickers guns relieved
by Battalion gunners, so that the Vickers guns can take up indirect fire
