Think of Denmark and you bring to mind a land of green meadows, bustling cities and "Den Lille Havfrue" - "The Little Mermaid".  Touch her and it is said you will have good luck, and that is the prophecy we expect.
  I am proud of my Danish background, as many of our family's customs and traditions are part of our Danish heritage.  Our home reflects our Danish roots from the Royal Copenhagen Christmas plates and Bing & Grondahl porcelain angels to the traditional Christmas dinner of roast goose and red cabbage.
  The Danish nationality are proud and independent people.   Our family hosts individuals with many backgrounds and occupations.  Most important are the families that till the soil, commonly referred to as "Farmers".  Our families also include doctors, lawyers, photographers, genealogists, teachers, scientists, computer specialists, pharmacists, psychologists, dentists, government officials, theater artists and a host of other occupations.
  The Danish anthem reads "Der er et yndigt Land" and after visiting Denmark I must agree, "There is the lovely Land"!
