Bill, as he was known locally, was born in Chesterfield on 30th June, 1904, and lived at 423 Holly House, Chatsworth Rd, Brampton, DBY. Bill lived at that address until his marriage to Violet POLLARD in February 1934 and then they moved to Mayfield Rd, Brampton, where he lived until his death on 7 Jul 1984. Violet lived at the same address until her death on 17 Sep 2005 aged 94. Of particular interest to BRAILSFORD researchers.... Violet had a sister, Ruth POLLARD, who married Edwin (aka Edward) BRAILSFORD. Ruth and Edward lived at The Three Horse Shoes public house at Stanedge around the late 1940's until about 1960. They had eight children, some still living. One of the daughters emigrated to Australia, circa early 1950's.Ann (aka Nancy) HUDSON (1905-1992) [mar 1931 Alfred BRAILSFORD]
