A copy of each post is automatically forwarded to all suscribers to the list. To quote RootsWeb's description "A mailing list is simply an e-mail party line: every message that a list subscriber sends to the list is distributed to all other list subscribers."

It differs from a "Message Board" in that you subscribe to it and your post gets sent to all subscribers. The BRADISH Message Board has been linked to the BRADISH Mail List on RootsWeb so each post the board is sent to each subscriber to the list.
