Harrison (Hatt) was a baby when his parents moved to Tuscarawas Co., Ohio, in 1836. And just a small lad when they moved to Elkhart twp., Noble Co., In. in Jan of 1841. They moved to Clay twp., LaGrange Co., in 1854.

Most of their lives Harrison and Emily lived on the farm which was east and south of Cosperville and north of Brimfield, In. When Harrison visited his sister, Elizabeth Frisbey, they usually conversed in Pennsylvania Dutch.

Emily was the daughter of Mary (Colt or Collit) and Michael Landis and a sister of Amanda who married John Boyd, Harrison's brother. They were members of the German Baptist (Dunkard) Church.

Harrison died from pneumonia and a blood clot in the leg. He and Emily are buried in the south part of the cemetry at Cosperville, Indiana.

1894-1896 they lived on a farm in Nebraska; 1896-1907 on a farm near Onawa, Iowa; 1907-1913 near Eldora, and Benton, Kansas. In 1914 they moved to Blenco, 7 miles from Onawa, Ia. They were always farmers. Bertha was ill only a few days and died at the age of 86. Both are buried near Whiting, Ia.

OBITUARY MARSHALL BOYD"
Boyd Marshall L, son of Harrison and Emily Boyd, was born in Elkhart Twp on Dec. 26, 1867 and passed away at his home on April 13, 1944, being past 76 years of age. There were eight children in the family, all of whom with the parents have passed on, except one brother, Frank, who lives at Union, Montana. He was married to Mary Squires in 1897. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. W. J. Burkhart of Rochester, N.Y., and Mrs. Glen Peterson of South Bend; two grandsons, Glen Jr. Peterson of South Bend, and Eugene Peterson, now serving his country in New Guinea. Many years ago he joined the Baptist Church at Cosperville where services were held April 16. Burial, Cosperville Cemetery.

Marshall was always a farmer. Mary Elizabeth was the dauhter of Clara (Waldron) and Dan H. Squires. After Marshall's death, she worked 1944-1947 at the Resthaven, Sturgis, Mi. In 1948 she moved to LaGrange, In. May 4, 1952, she married Hervey Stout at Wawaka, In. HE was born at Helmer, In. in 1879, died at LaGrange on Oct. 20, 1955. He had three children by a former marriage and was buried at Flint, Mi. In Oct 1955, Mary lived in LaGrange, In.

They lived on a farm SW of LaGrange, In. and later moved to Fenwood, Wi. In 1918 Freeman left for Spokane, Washington and did not return. It was believed he was killed in a mine there. Jessie returned to LaGrange with her children. She was the daughter of Oscar Merrifield.
