This is based on one marriage record of a William Bowles in Cannington, Brock twp., Ontario county (just to the north of Uxbridge) which gives his occupation as "a clerk in Uxbridge". This reference has not been checked in census records or any other source yet. As he was born in England he is unlikely related to any of the other Bowles in Ontario county. I have no other records of any more Bowles in Brock township either.
