Francis Bradshaw of Abney Manor died in 1659 and left the manor to his 6 year old son Francis II. By 1669, Francis Bradshaw's widow had remarried to John Bolle of Thorpe Hall, Lincoln who presided over the Court Baron held that year as Guardian of Francis II. However that would have ended when Francis II attained his majority.

Abney Manor in Derbyshire in the Bradshaw family from the late 1500's until the early 1700's when it passed to Pierce Galliard of Essex who died in 1789 leaving it to his daughter Mary. Acquired by Charles Bowles through his 1774 marriage to Mary Galliard. Charles died in 1795 and left property to son Humphrey who died in 1859 leaving house to eldest son Charles Bradshaw Bowles of Surrey, whose son was Lord of the Manor.
