The 1881 Census of Enniskillen twp., Lambton co. list an L. C. Boles, a
carpenter, born in the U. S. about 1842 with one child age 14.
Many Americans came up from the U. S. to work in the oil industry in
this area about then. There is also a birth registration for a
Lestis Cameron Bowles born May 1, 1894 in Sarnia who may be the third
generation of this family.
