The Bowles of Canada and their
Roots in Ireland and England The Bowles of Fermanagh |

|
The earliest Bowles records in Fermanagh that I have found go back to the 1740's.
The oldest references are in the Killesher , Magheracross and Aghavea/Agalurcher
parishes.
The Bowles of co. Leitrim appear to be a branch of the Bowles of Cleenish parish, co. Fermanagh. There also may be a link between the Bowles in Fethard. co. Tipperary and those in Fermanagh. Please see the following parishes where Bowles records have been found: Miscellaneous or unknown Townlands Click on this image for a larger map showing the townlands mentioned in Bowles references. Click on this link for a listing of many Bowles births, marriages and deaths references in Fermanagh from the late 1800's. The civil records are organized by Poor Law Union boundaries which do not correspond to the above listed parishes. The Enniskillen PLU included most of Fermanagh as well as parts of Cavan and Tyrone. |
