He married Angelique Levasseur 1678.⁽³¹²⁵⁾ Angelique was born 1665.⁽³¹²⁶⁾ Angelique was the daughter of Pierre Levasseur dit l'Esperance and Jeanne De Chanverlange. Her body was interred 14 May 1740 in St. Foy, Quebec, PQ, Canada.⁽³¹²⁷⁾

Charles Hamel and Angelique Levasseur had the following children:

4 i. Anne³ Hamel. She married Pierre-Jacques Gingras in St. Foy, Quebec, PQ, Canada, 13 November 1716.⁽³¹²⁸⁾ Pierre-Jacques was the son of Jacques Gingras and Francoise Harnois. His body was interred 20 April 1754 in St. Augustin, Portneuf, PQ, Canada.⁽³¹²⁹⁾ (See Pierre-Jacques Gingras for the continuation of this line.)
