He married Etiennette Baudon in Quebec, Quebec, PQ, Canada, 10 January 1672.⁽¹⁴⁴⁰⁾ Etiennette was born 1653.⁽¹⁴⁴¹⁾ Etiennette was the daughter of Etienne Baudon and Marguerite Guigne. Her body was interred 11 November 1699 in St. Augustin, Portneuf, PQ, Canada.⁽¹⁴⁴²⁾

Dugal Cotin and Etiennette Baudon had the following children:

3 i. Marie³ Cotin. She married Jean-Baptiste Beland in St. Augustin, Portneuf, PQ, Canada, 12 January 1710.⁽¹⁴⁴³⁾ Jean-Baptiste was the son of Jean Beland and Genevieve Gaudin. He was baptized Pointe-aux-Trembles, Quebec, PQ, Canada, 30 September 1684. Religion: Roman Catholic.⁽¹⁴⁴⁴⁾ (See Jean-Baptiste Beland for the continuation of this line.)

4 ii. Louis Cotin. He married Jeanne Beland Pointe-aux-Trembles, Quebec, PQ, Canada, 14 January 1709.⁽¹⁴⁴⁶⁾ Jeanne was the daughter of Jean Beland and Genevieve Gaudin. She was baptized Pointe-aux-Trembles, Quebec, PQ, Canada, 1 September 1680. Religion: Roman Catholic.⁽¹⁴⁴⁷⁾
