Conn., b. about 1741, son of Charles BULKLEY and Mary SAGE; she d.
Aug. 14 , 1774; he m. (2) Nov., 1775, Prudence WELLES.  His rank as
Major was attained in the Revolution. Resided in what was known as
the "Long House," built by Mr. POMEROY, near the landing; h d. May
30, 1787; . . ."

Major Edward BULKLEY of Rocky Hill, Conn.  His rank as Major was attained in
the Revolution. Resided in what was known as the "Long House," built by Mr.

Edward Bulkeley,  was Lieutenant of Capt. Chester Wells' company, Wadsworth's
Brigade, at Long Island, where he was taken prisoner.  When exchanged in 1780
he served as captain and
brigade major.  He was an original member of the (order of) Cincinnati. He was
born and died in Wethersfield. . . . . . ."
