Those Who Served
This page is dedicated to my father, my brother, my uncles and my grandfathers, all having given their time in service to God and Country. It is an on-going project depicting my direct ancestors and any of their siblings who served in the Armed Forces. This is not an attempt to list entire military careers, merely a place where I can honor my family.

I have recently found muster rolls for this war. I found Jesse Ledford listed with a Rutherford Co., NC regiment and William Carpenter listed with a Buncombe Co., NC regiment. I would like to do some further research before saying for certain that these two men were the same people as my ancestors. Further updates will be posted here or on their respective web pages.
