Notes: Pages 45 and 93 were blank. Page 81 was crossed out. This is an index by testator or by the person of whom guardianship was appointed (e.g. a minor child). Three adults were appointed guardians based on mental health: Samuel Beck, Daniel J. Duncan, and John L. Little. Lucinda Beck, a colored woman, did not die; she and her children were named in the will of Samuel Beck (see his will), and were appointed guardians who were to look after their portion of the estate. Because many of the records in this book were to appoint guardians, many minor children/heirs were named. I have included those below, if they were not already included in the index, with their parent. These orphans/minors are listed in the order in which they were written in the book.
