Know all men by these presents that we Henry Hopper principle and Thomas Hopper and A. J. Martin securities are held and firmly bound unto Lewis N. Jones ordinary of aid County and his sucessors in office in the Just and full sum of twenty five hundred dollars for the payment of which sum to the said ordinary and his successors we bind our selves and heirs executors and Administrators in the whole and for the whole sum jointly and severly and firmly by these presents sealed with our Seals and dated this seventh day of December eighteen hundred and fifty seven.

The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Henry Hopper Administrator of the goods and chattels and credits of Samuel Hopper late of this County deceased do make a true inventory of all and singular the goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased which have or shall come into the hands possession or knowledge of the said Henry Hoper or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him and the same so made do exhibit nto the Court of ordinary when he shall be thare unto required and such goods chattels and credits do well and truly administer acording to law and do make a just and true account of his [adings?] and doings there on when required by the Superior Court of Register of probates for the County and all the rest of the goods Chattels and credits which shall be found remaining upon the acount of the said deceased administration of the same being first allowed by the said Court shall deliver and pay to such persons respectfully as are entitled to the same by law and if it shall hereafter appear that any last will and testament was made by the said deceased and the same be proved before the Court and the executors obtain a certificate of the probate thare of and the said Henry Hopper do in such case if required render and deliver up the said letters of admiistration then this obligation to be void else remain in full force.

Whare as Henry Hopper has made application for the administration of the estate of Samuel Hopper late of this county deceased Sittation has bin advertised acording to law it is ordered that letters of administration on the estate of Samuel be granted to Henry Hopper

Ordered that James Richey, Andrew J. Martin, William McKinney, Anderson Coffee, Harrisson Darnald be apointed apraissors of the estate of Samuel Hopper deceased

I Henry Hopper do solemly swear then that Samuel Hopper dide without any will as fare as I know or believe and that I will well and truly administer on all and singular the goods and chattels rights and credits of the said deceased and pay all his Just debts as fare as the same will extend and the law requirs me and that I will make a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits and just return thare of where thareunto required so help me God

Whare as Samuel Hopper late of said county deceased died intestate having while he lived and at the time of his [andat?] divers goods chattels rights and credits within the county aforesaid by means whare of the full disposition and power of granting the administration of all and singular the goods chattels rights and credits of the said deceased and also a final dismission from the same to the court aforesaid does of right be long and said court desireing that the gods chattes rights and credits of said deceased may be well and truly administered and legally disposed of do hereby grant unto Henry Hopper administrator full power of the tener of these presents to administer the goods chattels rights and credits of the said deceased which to him in his lifetime and at the time of his death did belong and to ask demand sue for recover and receive the same and to pay the debts in which the deceased stood bound so fare fourth as his asssets will extend acording to law and then the ballance justly to pay over to the legal heirs and distributees of the said deceased and the said Henry Hopper having given bond and security and taken the oath and performed all other requisits required by law nessary to his just quallifycation as administrator he is by order of said court and by virtue of these presents ordaind constituded apointed administrator of all and singular the goods chattels rights and credits of the said deceased

[It] appearing to the court that Henry Hopper Administrator on the estate of Samuel Hopper deceased has applied to this court for leave to sell the lands belonging to the estate of Samuel Hopper late of this county deceased as it has been legally advertised in terms of the law[. I]t is therefour ordered that Henry Hopper administrator on said estate have leave and leave is hereby granted him to sell the lands belonging to said estate.

Henry Hopper Dr. to the estate of Samuel Hopper late of said county deceased as adm. of said estate July 4th 1859 - Lots of land sold on the first Tuesday in June 1859 Numbers 184 & 185 in the 2nd district of Rabun County bid off by Thos. Hopper at the price of five hundred and twenty dollars $520.00 Said Hopper's note taken for five hundred & twenty dollars $520.00 with James M. Ritchie & Wm. F. Dillard security dated June 7th 1859. Due twelve month after date.

In person appeared before me Lewis N. Jones Clerk of the Court of Ordinary of said county Henry Hopper administrator of the estate of Samuel Hopper deceased who being duly sworn says that the above return is [fint?] and true as it stands stated the 4th day of July 1859. Sworn to and subscribed before me this 4th July 1859
