Lewis Pictures Pictures page 3
These three pictures of Daniel's house were donated to the website by Richard L. Lewis he can be contacted at rll.fl@verizon.net
Portrait of the Daniel Lewis House Daniel Lewis was a wealthy landowner. He built the house about 1845. It is believed that General John Morgan stopped by the house during his raid through southern Indiana in 1863. *~~~~~~~~~~~~*
An additional comment.. Tanya Johnson nee Bonstein's great great grandfather on her maternal side, fought with General John Morgan. He was with Morgan during his raid. I guess this was the first meeting of the Bonstein/Lewis side meeting the Payne/Johnson side.. small world.
