Volume 9, Wills Proved and Registered in the Archdeaconry Court of Cornwall, From the 16th day of May 1764 to the 27th day of February 1767, Both Inclusive. In the name of God Amen I William Salter of the Parish of St. Stephens in Brunwell in the County of Cornwall yeoman being weak in body but of sound memory Blessed be to God do this sixteen day of Febuary in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty nine make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say/ Imprimis I give unto my son William Salter five shillings to be paid him in one year after my deceade by my Exeurtrix. Item I give unto my son John Salter five shillings to be paid him in one year after my desease by my Exeurtrix. Item I give unto my son Thomas Salter five shillings to be paid him in one year after my decease by my Exeurtrix. Item all the remainder of my goods chattels credits and personal estates whosoever I give and bequay to my dear wife Elizabeth Salter home I make and ordain to be my hole and sole Exeurtrix of this my last Will and Testament. And I do hereby utterly revoke disallow and disown (?) all former Wills by me heretofore in any wise declaring ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In witness where of I the sd. Will was granted (and?) the Extrix here in named / being first sworn cr. / (?) cr. / No inventy. In the name of God Amen the 19th day of March 1765 I William Philips of the Parish of St. Stephens in Branwell in the County of Cornwall (?) being now sick and weak but of sound mind and memory thank be to God: but however calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing it is appointed (?) for all men to dye I doe make and ordain this my last Will and Testament: That is to say Principally and first of all I recommend my soul into the hands of allmighty God who gave it me and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent and christian buriall at the descretion of my Executor hereafter mentioned. Nothing (?)ting but at the general resurrection I shall (?) the same again by the mighty power of God and as such wordly estate to herewith it has pleased God to bless me with in this life I give (?) and dispose of the land in the following manner and form. First I give and bequeath unto my mother 1 pound one shillng to be paid her within one year after my decease. Item I give and bequeath unto my sister Priscilla four pounds to be paid her within one year after my decease. Item I give and bequeath unto my sister Rose four pounds to be paid her within one year after my decease. Item I give and bequeath unto my sister Mary four pounds to be paid her within one year after my decease. Item I give and bequeath unto Edward Kessell one pound one shilling to be paid him within one year after my decease. Item I give and bequeath unto my brother Digory Philips all the rest of my (?) an messuage of tenements mortgages goods and chattles of what nature or kind whatsoever and all my bills bonds and ready money whatsoever and wheresoever the same is or may be and all I shall dye possessed of and not hereby specifically mentioned but subject to my just debts and I do hereby constitute nominate and appoint my sd. brother Digory Philips whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament. Will was granted to the Extor there in named / being first sworn cr. / (?) cr. / No inventy. exhibited In the name of God Amen I John Howard of Nanjeath in the Parish of St. Stephens in Branwell in the County of Cornwall yeoman being weak in body but of sound memory blessed be to God do this sixteen day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and sixty two make and publish, this my last Will and Testament in mannor folowing that is to say. In primis I give unto my dearly beloved wife Ma(-?-) Howard Six pounds (-?-) year to be paid by my Executor and my little house that Thomas Thomas now lives in if she do not live with my Executor during her life and all sorts of household goods fit for a singal woman to use during her life and then to come back to my Executor. I also give her ten pounds to be paid (-?-) (-?-) (-?-) shillings a Quarter a year after my decese. If she lives so long as two years and half after my decease. I give unto my son Richard Howard Twenty shillings to be paid in one year after my decease by my Executor. I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Salter Twenty shillings to be paid in one year after my decease by my Executor. I give unto my daughter Mary Trennaman Twenty shillings to be paid in one year after my decease by my Executor. Also I give her the house she now live in and that part of the Garden belong in during her life and then to come back to my Executor. Also I give her forty shillings (-?-) year if she happens to be a widow during her widow wood. I give unto my grandchild William Salter two plates of ground called by the name of Rundals plates joyning with Trewithing lane end ground he paying to my Executor four shillings (-?-) year during the time he injoy it. I give unto all my grand children fforty shillings each to be paid in two years after my decease to them twenty one years (?) old at my decease and the other when the comes to the ages of twenty one years to be paid by my Executor. I give to my great grand children ffive shillings each to be paid when the comes to the ages of twenty one years to be paid by my Executor. Also I give to my great grand child Elizabeth Gilly twenty pounds to be paid when she comes to the age of twenty one years by my Executor. I give to my brother Edward Howard twenty shillings and my suiet of clothing that I now ware. Also I give unto the poor of the parish of St. Stephens ten shillings to be paid them in one month after my decease. Item All the remainder of my goods chattels creditts and personal estate whatsoever I give and bequeath to my grand son Samuel Thomas Angilly now now lives with me whom I make and ordain to be my hole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament. And I do hereby utterly revoke dissallow and disannul all former wills by me heretofore in aney ways delaring ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In the name of God Amen I Walter Thomas of the parish of St Stephens In Brannell in the County of Cornwall yeoman being of sound memorry Do this twenty seventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty six make ad publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say. I give unto my son John Thomas all my estate in St Stephens Church Town called and known by the name of Higher Egloshellens so long as my right and estate therein continnue. I give unto my son William Thomas all that part of my Tennement in St Stephens Coombe which was formerly in the posession of Anthony Nankivall in paying one half of the rates, taxes and outgoings on the whole tennement likewise give him a feather bead furnished namly that whareon I now lyeth all my wareing apparrel and twenty pounds in money. I give unto my son Henry Thomas the sum of five pounds. I give unto my daughter Susanna Harris a little all the money which may or shall be due from John Retallack for the rent of my estate in St Stephens Church Town from the time of my death untill his term therein shall be (?)p(?)'d. I give unto my daughter Susanna Harris all that part of my tennement in St Stephens Coombe which was formerly in the possession of William Harris her late husband during her natural life and after her deceas I give the same unto my two grandaughters namly Ann Harris and Jane Harris natural children of my daughter Susanna Harris. All the rest residue and remainder of my goods chattles and personalle effects whatsoever subiect to my just debts I give unto my daughter Susanna Harris whom I do constitute and appoint my whole and sole Executor to perform this my laste will and testament and I do utterly revoak and disalow all former will or will by me in any wise made or declard ratifying and confirming this to be my last will and testament.
