JOHN YELLAND - Page 268 and 269

By permission of Almighty God I John Yelland of the parish of St. Stephens in Branwell in the County of Cornwall yeoman do make this my Will revoking and disannulling all former by me heretofor made declaring this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and forme following.

Imprimisses I give unto my Dearly Beloved Wife Lucy Yelland five pounds a year during her widdowhood and no longer to be paid her out of a Tenement in Gonnamarras commonly called or known by the name of Bullen's Tenement by four equal quarterly payments by my son Robert Yelland, hereafter named, and also the lower room of my dwelling house and the inner chamber with the bed there furnished with liberty to come and go to the same at her own will and pleasure, and also household goods as the little brass crock and three puter dishes and three plates, the tea kittle and half doz: (cheany?) and six silver spoons and forty shillings to be paid immediently after my decease by my Executor.

Item I give unto my son Robt. Yelland all my right in a tenement in Gonnamarras called Bullens Tenemt. to have in three months time after my decease and all the right in the Town Place from the (conie?) of the Court so far as my right is and also a tinstream work in Gonnabarn moor only excepting for my son Robert to pay as aforesaid to his mother and twentie pounds to my daughter Ann Yelland of good and lawfull money when she comes to the age of twentie one years and not otherwise.

Item I give unto my son John Yelland and Joan and Lucy and Florance my daughters one shilling a peice to be paid within one year after my decease by my Executor.

Item I give unto my daughters Marry Yelland and Dorrothy Yelland all my right in a tenement in the Parish of St. Muen called or known by the name of (Tregarheny?) within three months after my decease.

Item I give unto my daughter Jane Yelland my Downfield ajoyning with the quarry park within three months after my decease and ten pounds to be paid her by my Executr. when she comes to the age of twenty four years and not otherwise.

Item I give my daughter Ann Yelland ten pounds more to be paid by my Executor when she comes to the age of twentie one years and fifthteen shillings pr. year till she comes to the age of eighteen years.

Item I give unto my son Richard Yelland all the rest of my goods and chattels of what kind or nature so ever and do make constitute and appoint him to be my lawfull and whole Executor of this my last will and Testament.

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fiftheenth day of December and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty.

The care of my youngest daughter I commit to Lucy my wife untill she comes to the age of twentie one years, and I do expect my wife to have liberty of making a (nich?) in the backside.

I Elizabeth Howard of the parish of Saint Stephens in Branwell in the county of Cornwall widow being of sound and perfect mind and memory.

Imprimis Two silk hankerchiefs to Peter Vinson, two white hankerchiefs one to cousin Peter's wife and one to his mother, three cips? to my maid Catherine Martyn and three cips? to my sister Susanna, two of the best gounds to my cousin Joan and two to Catherine my maid and two my maid the best stays, and all the rest of my goods and chattels I give and bequeath unto my cousin Peter Vinson whom I make my whole and sole Executure of this my last will and testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal this twenty seventh day of May 1761.

In the Name of God Amen

I Benjamin Snell of the parish of St. Stephens in Brannell in the county of Cornwall tinner being sick (and?) weak in body but of a sound memory and understanding blessed be God for the same and well knowing that it is appointed once for all men to dye do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following . ~ .

First I bequeath my soul into the hands of God my maker hoping thro the merits of Jesus Christ my Saviour to receive free pardon of all my sins and my body to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my Exects. hereinafter named . ~ .

Item I give unto my son John Snell the sum of one shilling.

Item I give unto my son James Snell the sum of one shilling.

Item I give unto my daughter Joan Snell the sum of one shilling.

All the rest of my goods, estate, chattels and effects whatsoever and of what kind or nature soever I give and bequeath unto my son Benjamin Snell and my daughter Mary Best who I do constitute and appoint to be my lawfull Executor and Executrix alike on this condition that they shall pay all my debts and legacies and make them whole and soal Exceutor and Executrix alike.

In Witness to here of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 21st day of June 1761 . ~ .
