In the name of God Amen. I John Jenkin of the parish of Saint Stephens in Branwell in the county of Cornwall tinner being in good health, and of a sound and disposing mind memory and understanding Thanks be given unto God therefore do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say,

Principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God who gave it and for my body I recommend it to the earth whenever it shall please God to call for me to be buried in a Christian like and decent manner at the discretion of my Executrix nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God, and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give and dispose of the same in the following manner and form

First I give unto my son-in-law John King one shilling

Also I give unto my grand daughter Frances [?]ippon one shilling

Also I give unto my son-in-law Charles Paull one shilling

Lastly I give and bequeath unto my dear wife Frances Jenkin all the rest and residue of my goods and chattels rights and credits whatsoever and wheresoever

And I hereby constitute make and ordain my said wife only and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament

And my will is that my said wife in whom I confide shall not needlessly consume my effects but be careful of the same and not to give more to one of our children than to another but shall act with good conscience honestly and equally towards all and I do hereby declare my will further to be that after the decease of my said wife my three sons Anthony, John and William shall have two shares each of them and my two daughters Frances and Elizabeth shall have one share each of all such goods tenements rights and credits as my said wife shall [?] be[?]ind her at the time of her decease that is my effects which my wife shall leave being divided into eight equal parts or shares my said three sons shall have six parts that is two shares each and my said two daughters shall have the remaining two parts that is one share each

In witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the seventeenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety three
