Volume 12, Wills Proved and Registered in the Archdeaconry Court of Cornwall, From the 23th of April 1774 to the 6th Day of May 1777, Both Inclusive. JOAN DOCKING - Page 223 By permession of almighty God I Joan Docking of the parish of St Stephens in Brannell and county of Cornwall widdow being weak in boddy but of sound memmory blessed be God for it do this tenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy two make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form follwing (that is to say) I give unto Mary Truscott the daughter of Lewis Truscott my side saddle I give unto Jane the daughter of said Lewis Truscott my hanging press and the bead furnished whearon I now lye I give unto my sister Florence Hicksing warming pannes I give unto my cousin Florence Truscott the wife of Lewis Truscott one guinea I give unto the poor widdows of the parrish of St Stephens ten shillings All the rest residue and remainder of my goods chattles and personall effects whatsoever I give unto my cousin Lewis Truscott whom I make my whole and sole Executor to perform this my last Will and Testament and i do - utterly revoke all former Will or Wills by me in any weise made and declared rattifying and confirming this to be my last Will and Testament. Brown Rd. Williams The above written Will of the above named Joan Docking deced was proved in common form the 23d June 1775 before the Revd Mr Edmund Powell Clerk Bachelor of Arts Surrogate (-?-). And Admoin of the goods (-?-) of the said deced and of all things howsoever concerning the said Will was granted to the Executor therein named / being first sworn (-?-) / saving (-?-) / No inventory WILLIAM ROGERS - Page 314 & 315 In the name of God amen the eleveneth day of January 1776 I William Rogers of the parish of St Stephens in Brannel in the county of Cornwall being very weak in body, but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be given unto God, therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die I do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament (that is to say) Principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it me, and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter mentioned. Nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty powers of God. And as touching such wordly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form First I give and bequeath unto my son William Rogers the sum of five shillings to be paid him within one year after my decease. Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Tamson widow the sum of 5 shillings to be paid her within one year after my decease. Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elisabeth the wife of John Retallach the sum of five shillings to be paid her within one year after my decese. Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary the wife of Edmond Clemus five shilling to be paid her within one year after my decease. Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Grace the wife of Samuel Salter the sum of five shillings to be paid her within one year after my decease. Item all the rest of my messuages tenements mortgages bonds and (-?-) this tyn bound & goods chattle and ready money whatsoever and wheresoever the same is as may be and all I shall dye possessed off I do hereby give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Mary Rogers, but subject to my just debts making my wife Mary Rogers my hole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. Browne Rd. Williams The before written Will of the above named William Rogers deced, was proved in common form the 17th May 1776 before the Revd. Mr. Edmund Powell, Clerk Bachelor of Arts Surrogate (-?) soforth, and admion of the goods (-?-) of the said deced and of all things howsoever concerning the said Will was granted to the Executrix therein named / being first sworn (-?-), / saving (-?-) / No inventory THOMAS TRUSCOTT - Page 518 & 519 In the Name of God Amen. I Thomas Truscott of the parish of St Stephens in branwell in the County of Cornwall Blacksmith being weak in Body but of sound memory blessed be God do this fourteenth day of December in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy five make and publish this my last Will & Testament in manner following / that is to say / Imprimes I Give unto my Daughter Ann Beer One shilling to be paid in One year after my Decease by my Executrix. Also I Give unto my son Thomas Truscott One shilling to be paid in One year after my decease by my Executrix. Also I give unto my son James Truscott One shilling to be paid in One year after my decease by my Executrix. Also I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Jenkin One shilling to be paid in One year after my decease by my Executrix. Also I give unto my Daughter Catherine Harris One shilling to be paid in One year after my decease by my Executrix. Also I give unto my son John Truscott one shilling to be paid in one year after my Decease by my Executrix. Also I give unto my Daughter Susanna Truscott One shilling to be paid in One year after my decease by my Executrix. All the rest residue & remainder of my Goods Chattles Credits personal Estates whatsoever I give and Bequeath unto my dear Wife Jane Truscott whome I make & Ordain to be my whole & sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby Otterly Revolt Disannul & disalow all other Wills by me in any wise made Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will & Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & seale in presence of the day and year first above written ~ Tho.
