CATHERINE BONE WILLIAMS JAMES
Catherine Bone was christened the 25th of December, 1812 in St. Stephen In Brannel parish. She was the daughter of Thomas and Frances Blackmore Bone.

Catherine married Walter Williams the 14th of April, 1833 in St Stephens. Walter was christened 31st October, 1812 in St Stephens the son of Walter and Elizabeth Mellow Williams.

Their children are believed to be: William born about 1834, Susanna born c1836, Grace born c1838, Samuel born c1840, Elizabeth c1842, Catherine born c1845, Mary Ann born c1848, Thomas born c1853, and Walter born c1856.

The family lived in Meloder, St Stephens where Walter worked as a clay labourer. It is unknow when he died or where he is buried.

It is believed that Catherine remarried to a Mr. James. The 1881 census (RG11 piece 2305 folio 93 page 7) lists Catherine James, age 67 as a widow, living in Coombe Village. With her is her sister, Grace Bunney age 75, also a widow.

It is possible that their daughter Susanna or Grace married a Mr. Lukes? and had a daughter Fanny born about 1856. It is also believed that Ellen Williams born about 1859 was also a grand-daughter. These two children are listed as grandchildren in the 1861 census living with Walter and Catherine at Meloder. (page 41)

It is unknow when Catherine died, nor where she is buried. Although it is very possible she is buried in the same cemetery as her brother Alexander Bone.
