JOSIAH
BONE
Josiah, fifth known child of Robert and Mary Rickard Bone, was christened in St. Stephen In Brannel parish the 8th of August 1837.


He is listed with the family on the 1851 census in St. Blazey parish as a miner's laborer.

The 1881 Census, England, Cumberland, Millom, Mains Gate, Family History Library microfilm number 134225, piece 5197, folio 8, page 10 lists our Josiah Bone and family:
Josiah, married, 45, male, St. Stephen, Cornwall, head, engine driver
Mary, married, 48, female, St. Neot, Cornwall, wife
Frank, unmarried, 16, male, St. Blazey, Cornwall, son, pupil teacher
Edmund, unmarried, 15, male, St. Blazey, Cornwall, son, fireman
Emma, 13, female, St. Blazey, Cornwall, daughter, scholar
Josiah, 7, male, Millom, Cumberland, son, scholar

Joan  abstracted the Cornish individuals living in Cumberland and posted her results on Cornish-L at Rootsweb. Without this clue Josiah may have been lost forever. Now to find out what happened to Josiah and family.
