AD 1366 Crugovelans [meor?] & Crugovelans vean are mentioned among the lands of the family of Pridias of Newham in Kenwyn which passed to the Bodrugans. By the [?]a--d(w or er)of Sir Henry de Bodruyan 1487 all his lands were confiscated to the Crown and among them we find Cruke-vallaunce (1487). Sir Richard [-?-] received [?] by a [?] [?] Henry VII and they remained in his family until the year 1917 when Crugwallons was sold as parcel of the Manor of Pen[---]o in St Ewe - to which it had long been annexed. In 1695 it is spelt Gregvallans, in 1715 Tregwallons. In 1715 Richard Best's yearly value on Tregwallons Vean was 8 pounds.1

In 1838 George Arthur occupied Great Crugwallens which contained a little over 64 acres and consisted of eight fields. With John Richards he occupied another eleven fields.2
